Collaboration with Julian Lee

Located in Toronto, at the busy intersection of King St. and Spadina Ave, this heritage building was revitalized as a hotel and retail space. The concept of this hotel was to create a contrasting atmosphere from the rushing city street. This was achieved by placing arches within the spaces to give a sense of layers and movement to the space without hindering traffic flow of the environment. The use of wood and minimal colours adds to the relaxing atmosphere and enhances the brand of the hotel as the retail sells aromatherapeutic goods and bath products and provides a mineral bath spa.
