The objective of this project was to handbuild a light modulator according to the given word: calm. Each material and method of assembly was thought through to create the certain feeling of calmness.

This piece is inspired by the form of ice and its translucent characteristic. The cool lighting paired with a welded metal light box, which resembles a cold geometric rock, produces an overall atmosphere of calm. It is to be placed in corner of a room or against the wall to enhance its mediative glow.
